Yard Sale Hidden Treasures: Sunnyville is a hidden object game by SlapDash Games and Big Fish Games that will grab your attention for quite some time due to its addictive and challenging gameplay and engaging story that takes you right into the whirlwind of Superstar Homes. magazine contest.

Become the owner of the best accommodation in the city? Piece of cake!

As a newcomer to Sunnyville, you soon find yourself in the middle of a contest to determine the home of the town’s superstar. On your first day in your new home, you meet a delegation of locals who will tell you everything you need to know, and that’s not much! Just keep in mind that Atia, the mayor, is going to win. And you haven’t had a single chance. Will you let me do it so easily?

So, you start turning your house into a perfect nest destined to impress the judges. And the first step here is to look at each of the 8 rooms and write a wish list containing all the items you need to make the room a true masterpiece. With your wish list ready, it’s time to check out the many yard sales held by the citizens of Fair Sunnyville, each with their own unique personality reflected in the type of yard sales they offer. Prepare to visit a graveyard sale or browse for some items in a real hippie tree house. The wacky characters are a big plus of the game. But while the visuals between levels and in the mini-games are beyond praise with all the changing intros at the beginning of the game and such, the hidden object screens present a great challenge for your eyes and attention due to the blurry graphics. But if you’re a true hidden object fan, that won’t stop you, right?

For each room, that is, each stage of the game, you have to search for hidden items in various places. Some of the items will be on your wish list, and some will not. Designer solutions are sometimes surprising, for example, you will use an old milk container as an umbrella stand for your entrance. Pretty creative I would say. As I already said, the tasks are extremely challenging, most of the items are really hard to find. They do give you some Superstar tips, but they are sorely lacking. You initially get three per stage, and I didn’t manage to find more than one extra clue (you have to search for stars to get them). So be sure to use their suggestions wisely, and take the time to look carefully. And watch out for the time penalty, which can be quite harsh, if you click too badly.

After exploring all the locations of a stage, you are offered a set of mini-games in which you create pieces of decoration for your dwelling. Turn an old rusty lantern into a real jewel in your interior in just 5 steps? Easily! Clean it up, paint it down, a few more accents, and your winning look is in! What’s a bit disappointing here is that you never get to choose what to do with your house, you just bring the game designer’s ideas to life.

The game gives you the option of Career Mode and Sunnyville Tour. You can also decide to play in timed or relaxed mode, and that’s a nice feature, as it gives you the chance to enjoy the game without worrying about time limits.

Overall, I would say that the game is a good choice for hidden object fans and interior design addicts. It’s worth a try.
