When you go out in life and have courage, make sure the thing you come out on has a definite heart, a powerful soul, and a driving spirit. For reality to be worth something, it has to have a great base, or start off on the “right foot”, so to speak, or be nothing. To say the least, we all need a goal that genuinely motivates us, for sure. However, something more is needed, call it genuine self-esteem, realistic quality and spirit or whatever. I’ll start with more than just having a big goal.
We can have the greatest goals and all the great support out there and still genuinely and horribly fail if we don’t start with the right premises within ourselves. What I mean by the correct premises it is However, to start with the right spirit. I cannot repeat that reality in different ways.
At best, we are off to a good start, with the right backing and all. At worst, we can have everything in order except the right heart and spirit. Why do you think Bill Withers (William Harrison Withers, Jr.) retired from music at the height of his fame and did something else like successful real estate all those years ago? I’m saying, no matter how successful you are at something, if the heart of power is gone or the fruit of joy has dried up in it, you have to keep going or it’s worse than failure. It is a dead horse with rigor mortis being whipped “back to life” and no matter how much those dead muscles move, life and consciousness do not return to that horse.
So a theory of mine: this is how eternal life begins, it begins when you do something you love to do forever and you really love doing it without retiring or giving up, especially something you love to do on a Friday night that you really like. I love to do. I don’t mean just that, of course, I mean an eternity of doing things you enjoy and love productively.
After all, a labor of love is where life truly, honestly, and genuinely begins anyway. Doing things that you hate or really fear is where life ends, no matter how much you “manage” to do it. This is a pretty extreme example, but why do you think murderers make a lot of money for taking their own lives and then they can’t enjoy genuine money or a scammer steals a lot and can’t enjoy what they steal? When you are in the natural flow of a pleasant and productive life, it means everything. Negativity and meanness don’t really mean anything, except a bad headache at the very least and death at the most. So starting off with a good start and a “good foot” is always the way to go or nothing.
