When it comes to the “big world” of eBay, a lot of people are having success. You, too, can be successful if you know what you’re doing and know how to properly market yourself on and off the site. Other than this though, you can definitely make eBay a second source of income for yourself and let it take you to new heights.

In this lesson, I want to share with you some of the things you can do to make eBay profitable for you. Even if you’re already selling on eBay and want to make more money selling on eBay, I’m sure these techniques will work for you. This is the first tip to make money on eBay immediately:

1) Sell in a niche

This is important because you can easily become the “go to” guy (or woman) in your niche. As you rack up great ratings and make sale after sale… your customers will come back for more because you are one of the only people in your niche they can trust when it comes to selling quality products.

If you don’t know what I mean by “niche”, let me explain it to you real quick. A niche is a small market where people search for something in particular. The simplest example that I give you to help you understand this concept is related to the golfers’ course. Golf is a great niche online, but here’s how you can make it niche.

Most of the world’s golfers are right-handed. So if you create or find a product built for left-handed golfers, you could reach a lot of left-handed golfers and get them interested in your product. Can you see the difference this makes? You could probably charge these people as much as you want, and they’ll probably gladly pay you, because they LOVE golf. Here’s another tip for selling on eBay:

2) Analyze your competitors

Your competitors are people you don’t want to kill off your eBay career. So to avoid them entirely, you need to know who they are, what they sell, and how you can differentiate yourself from them. When I used to sell on eBay in the past, I had quite a few competitors, but I was promoting myself in a way that was unique in the field.

I would offer individual items, but at the beginning of each auction, I would advertise a link to a separate “better” package where they could get the item they were looking for, along with 20 more items for a payable price. No one else was doing this on eBay, and I made a fortune from this technique.

You have to differentiate yourself from your competitors. You can’t completely avoid them, but you’ll have to adapt to the market if you want to be successful on eBay today.

Be sure to use these eBay selling strategies in your business today. They will be more than worth it.

Good luck selling on eBay.
