There are many ways to spend your vacation days during the summer. You can go on vacation to another country with your family. You can also dedicate yourself to reading that novel that you have always wanted but have never had time to do. Go out with friends and just chat. Here are six incredibly fun and easy ideas to achieve at little or no cost:
1. Sprinkler blade
Many of today’s children have no idea what limbo is. Do you remember the days you spent playing the game and how much fun you had? This is an even better variation. It is no different in terms of rules. Of course, you can always add a few, if you’d like. The difference is that you can refresh yourself with water while you play. At almost no cost, you can make it happen. All you need is a meter long PVC pipe (or a piece of garden hose). Poke holes in it, cap one end, and firmly connect the other to the hose. 2. Pirate Day
You can see this game in many resorts, where there is entertainment for guests. Why not do it yourself? It’s not difficult at all! All you need is a little imagination, paper, cardboard, pencils, and a treasure (mainly candy, but you can get something better, like a toy). If you have face painting it will be even better, since you can paint eye patches, scars, etc. The role is to make a map of your backyard, pointing out your treasure. What? Shall we make a wall of water? Well, no. The idea is to make a system that carries water from one place to another in a fun way. The materials needed are empty plastic bottles, PVC pipes, or old hoses (or basically anything you can pour water into and poke a hole in). Other things you may need are rope or nails and a hammer. So that’s how it all comes together. You need a tall vertical wall (your backyard fence is ideal for this). You attach all those bottles, pipes, etc. cascading from the top to the bottom of the wall. Make sure that when you pour water into the top container, the hole you drilled in the bottom or side is just above the hole in the bottom container. Now start pouring and enjoy what you have achieved.
5. Play dirty
Playing in a sandbox is fun. Playing on a pile of dirt, which easily turns to mud or molds like clay, can be even better. Here children can model a landscape of Mars and go on missions with their toy armies. They can also use toy earthmoving trucks to move the earth. Rocks can provide structure for mountains or roads. Just make sure you don’t leave them unattended, they can wreak havoc in your garden. After that, you will surely need lawn services to help you repair the damage they had done.
6. Watch a movie under the stars
After an exhausting day of gaming, what better than a movie with your whole family. All you need is a large white sheet and a projector. Lie under the stars and enjoy your quality time together.
