In The Secret World Patch 1.1, some new missions were released and today we will give you a tour of the Crime and Punishment mission. Note that if you want to solve this mission yourself, you should stop reading this as it will give you spoilers. If you are ready to complete Crime and Punishment, the first thing to do is resume the mission.
Take the mission to The Savage Coast via Sam Krieg. You will find Sam Krieg at the lighthouse. Once you are there, you must examine the discarded card. The letter will tell you that Sam had to abandon his car. What it doesn’t tell you is exactly where, however, in the letter it mentions that it is an intersection with a “stupid sentimental name.” The name of the road is Lovers Regret, so you can find it on your map and just go to the intersection.
Once you get to the car, you want to use the GPS device that you see lying on the ground near the driver’s door. It will show you the location Sam was heading to before he had to ditch the car. Now the GPS will give you directions, so you will need to find your way from the car and follow the directions, but remember that they will be in reverse as you go back. If you follow them correctly, you will end up at a gas station.
Once you get there, you need to examine the trash can and you will find the image that Krieg mentioned in the letter. You’ll see that the image is of Sam and the obsessed fan I was talking about. There you will also find a website address and the next thing to do is find out where the informant lived. If you’re in a hurry, the house is the big red one near the gas station. If you go to the house, you will find that it is locked.
You will need to use the hardcoded input on the left gate but of course you will need the code to do this.
This is insanity!
You will need to return to the same website that you visited. You need to find the publication where the boy is talking about his favorite books and make a note of the ISBN numbers. The code to enter the house will be the last 4 digits of ONE of the books! This can change, so you will need to try all of them.
Once you’re inside, you can head to the desk in the corner with the PC. You have to enter a code in the computer and you will have a clue which is “Foucault’s Pendulum”: this is a real book, so you should go to Amazon.com and do a search for the book. Once you are on the actual list, you need the ISBN number as you did before. You must enter the full ISBN on the game PC. Next, you will be given a set of 8 queries that you will need to read.
Once you have done this, you will have completed “Crime and Punishment” in The Secret World.
