Empower Through Breath: Online Pranayama Certification is an exciting 14 hour live training that will take you through the anatomy of breath, breathing mechanics, the relationship between the breath and nervous system as well as an exploration of pranayama techniques. It’s designed to provide the teacher with a deep understanding of the what, why and how of the full spectrum of breath work therapeutics that are available to us. This course is open to both yogis and non-yogis alike and will leave you feeling confident to incorporate breath work into your yoga classes and private sessions.

Empower Through Breath: Online Pranayama Certification

This course consists of 8 core pranayama practices taught by world renowned Ayurvedic physician and yogi, Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc. Each pranayama video is accompanied by detailed pranayama manuals that outline each of the practices as well as a comprehensive study guide to help you understand their effects on both the physical and energetic body.

During these live sessions you’ll get the chance to ask any questions you have and receive guidance from the instructors as they walk you through each of the 8 pranayamas and their benefits. The lessons will be recorded so you can watch the recordings at any time if you miss the live calls, and you’ll have lifetime access to the training to reference as needed.

This course is offered as a stand-alone offering or as an elective module within our 300-hour Yoga Therapy training program. As a student in either program you’ll be able to claim these hours of non-contact continuing education credit with Yoga Alliance (if eligible). For those who are taking this course as part of our yoga therapy training you’ll need to complete all modules and electives to qualify for the Yoga Therapist Certification. Upon completion you’ll receive the certification to teach breath work as a therapeutic tool for your students and clients.
