It’s that moment again. The time for all die-hard Jordan Retro fans to be heard. It’s time to express your utter disgust at the news of the launch of a new Jordan Spiz’ike shoe. Time to hear from these folks about the abomination that is a Jordan Hybrid. Just one of the hybrids Jordan Brand releases regularly and it’s complete garbage. A shoe that goes by the name “Spiz’ike” and is the result of a lazy shoe design process. A shoe that is the result of taking legendary elements from the sacred Jordan 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 20. A shoe that these retro fans insist should never have been created or released.
Well, despite the loud sounds of protest emanating from this segment of the Jordan shoe community, a new Jordan Spiz’ike will be released. And the large segment of the Jordan shoe community who are huge fans of this shoe will be ecstatic. This is definitely a sick looking shoe. The colors that will be used on the new Spiz’ike are very similar to those used on the iconic Jordan XII “Bordeaux”. This fact alone will cause intense ire among traditional Jordan Retro sneaker fans.
Due to the color scheme that will be used in this shoe, it has already been named the Jordan Spiz’ike “Bordeaux”. The upper part of the shoe uses white and dark charcoal as primary colors. Of course, the epic elephant print is also used on the top and complements these two colors very well. Sapphire blue is used on the inner lining and as accents on the midsole and lacing system. Varsity Red takes care of the laces and parts of the heel and sole. Varsity Maize finishes off the colourway on the upper heel collar tab and Jumpman branding.
News of the upcoming releases of the Jordan Spiz’ike “Orange” and “Blue” Knicks color pack along with this new “Bordeaux” colorway will cause outrage among many in the Jordan footwear community. On the other hand, and on a much more positive note, there will be so many Jordanheads that they will be overwhelmed with joy. Hardcore Jordan sneaker fans really looking forward to a Jordan Spiz’ike release won’t have long to wait. This new shoe will be released in early 2012. And it will be released despite being one of the most hated Jordan shoes for basketball. Thank God for that.
