When you ask the average Joe what a Sony PSP (Sony PlayStation Portable) is, he’ll tell you it’s a portable video game console. The average person has no idea how much he can do with a Sony PSP. It’s not just a fancy Game Boy! He does a lot more than play video games. let me explain

The Sony PSP has over 350 game titles, and more are coming all the time. They are constantly adding titles all the time. You can get all the most popular titles of all your favorite games. Also, one thing I love about the PSP is that you can download emulators and play all your favorite games from the past. Super Mario Brothers, Sonic, Castlevania, Punch Out, Street Fighter, just to name a few of my favourites. So even if you only used it for gaming, it’s a fun little device to have. But that’s not what this article is about. I want to talk about all the other cool things you can do with a PSP.
Video
Over 460 feature films, TV shows and music videos available on UMD disc (each sold separately). If you travel a lot like me and get tired of playing video games all the time, you need a chance to sit back, relax and watch a movie on the plane. The PSP is perfect for this. The screen is just the right size for watching movies on the go.
Music
The PSP also plays music files of all major formats, including MP3, WAV, WMA, ATRAC3+, and MP4.
It’s not as compact as an iPod, if that’s what you’d really use it for, but it’s a very useful feature. But I bet most people didn’t know that you could use the PSP as an MP3 player.
Photo
Another nice little feature of the PSP is the ability to create a slideshow of your photos. If you have kids like me and want to show grandma the latest photos of the kids, you can do what I do and always keep the latest photos on my PSP to display. You can even stream them to other devices over Wi-Fi.
Grid
I know this has to do with gaming, but most people don’t realize that you can communicate with other PSP systems and play online. Not only that, but you can also surf the Internet directly from your PSP.
As you can see, Sony PSP is much more than just a small video game player, it really has become the ultimate palm-sized device for all your entertainment needs. Another thing I have to mention that is quite new is that there are more and more websites offering PSP downloads. Now you don’t even need to leave your house to get games, movies and music. You can get everything you need at the click of a mouse.
